Being in community

In our congregations, we hope to encourage our children and youth to learn and practice skills for being together, working together and building mutuality.  And as adults we hope to encourage one another in the same way.

Because we are covenantal rather than a creedal tradition, we Unitarian Universalists encourage the use of group covenants. Covenants are mutual promises members of a group make to one another, in the hope that keeping the promises will make the group more effective.
